Despite the final scoreboard and popular belief, Counselor Coal Soul and Cabin 4 were not out of it on Day 5. A surge of late points came in from tournament and other side event points with more potential, but they came up a bit short. Big Dan, Seaturtle, and Hot Bread all finished very high in the scoring, but activity issues ultimately sunk the ship. Props to the majority of the cabin for not giving up until the end - even though the members may move on, they will always have been a piece of the Cabin of Theseus.

Overcoming a rough start, the GAYS showed that they came to play this year at Smash Camp. Rayth's competitiveness and tenacity kept his cabin shooting for the top, and this cabin particularly showed out during all the quiz adjacent challenges. Rex, Pesti, Demiose kept the cabin afloat with great scores, energy, and support the entire week, but lack of placement in side events stopped them just short of the finish line. The GAYS were a cabin with highs and lows. If a couple more balls bounced their way they could have been the Smash Camp champions, but they will have to settle for bronze.

Second place in this year's camp goes to :3. This cabin was slept on all week, but it proved everyone wrong off the back of many consistent team members, ending with 7 of the top 20 campers by points. Scott's army had the best vibes all week while they churned out consistent participation and side event points, claiming by far the most points from Misc events (2814). It's tough to highlight key members since so many of them made meaningful contributions, but shoutout to Arshie and Dino with their event placements and Tucker, Zach, and Bryce for being chill and boosting morale. Unfortunately for :3, the barrage of side event points at the end was not enough to reach the goal, but it was a valiant comeback effort.

From start to finish, wire to wire, the Super Dickmann's Dicke Nüsse fought and excelled at everything they did. Calaf put everything on the line in his first year as counselor despite a massive disadvantage in his timezone. BB, a faithful co-counselor of the cabin, helped just as much. This cabin had amazing campers between both Brians, Sarah, Gordo, and so many more to list off. The team trusted each other and showed up consistently for each and every event.
